Who needs testing and maintenance of biomedical equipment?
All practices require biomedical device testing in accordance with the AS/NZS 3551:2012 management programs for medical equipment, work health and safety act, and your accreditation requirements.
What we do
- Perform acceptance test prior to clinical use
- Perform electrical safety test
- Perform visual and physical inspection
- Perform function verification with reference to manufacturer’s recommendation
- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance with reference to manufacturer’s recommendation
- Perform electrical appliance testing and tagging
If compliance cannot be demonstrated, the safety of users and patients may be compromised.
We recommend that all of your diagnostic equipment be serviced at a 12 month interval including your autoclave sterilising equipment, as this will beneficial to your practice and patients as well as comply with AS/NZS 3551 and AS/NZS 4815.
